Funeral for dairy farmer who died tragically in work-related incident

The funeral of a man who died in tragic farm accident will take place on Sunday.

Andrew Abraham, who was from Waringstown, lost his life on a farm in Co. Antrim on Thursday (May 21).

The father-of-four will be laid to rest at Blackskull Methodist Burial Ground at 3pm on Sunday.

A funeral notice to Mr Abraham said he was the beloved husband of Alison, devoted daddy of Jacsen, Brooke, Carter and Farrah, loving son of John and Eleanor and loving brother of Karen, Heather and Lyn.

The house and funeral will be private in accordance with government guidelines. No flowers please.

Donations if desired may be made for Bethany Free Presbyterian Church Sunday School C/o Ronnie Russell Funeral Director, 59 Waringstown Road, Lurgan, BT66 7HH.

Those wishing to pay their respects can do as the cortege leaves Andrews home 36 Banbridge Road, Waringstown on Sunday at 2.30pm (travelling up the Burnhill, arriving at Blackskull Methodist Burial Ground for approx. 3.00pm).

Will be lovingly remembered by his wife, children, parents, sisters, mother & father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, his many friends and the entire family circle.

On Friday (May 22nd), a spokesperson for the HSENI issues a statement on the incident, saying: “HSENI is aware of the incident in the Antrim area yesterday, and is making enquiries.”

“Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family at this tragic time.”
