The Polish NI Community Network is planning a grand finale to a fundraising campaign to help buy state-of-the-art equipment for hospitals back home.

Up to 3,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will be held in Lurgan Park on Sunday, January 13, and will include a fireworks display.

Polish NI Community Network is a charity organisation established in June 2009.

During the last few years they have been supporting the ‘Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity’, which is the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organisation in Poland.

It aims to support health care in Poland by buying state-of-the-art medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics and by establishing and running a number of medical and educational programmes.

Polish NI Community Network is supporting the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity – from January 11 to 13 – by organising a variety of events during which money will be raised to purchase equipment for specialist children’s hospitals.

The 27th Grand Finale charitable fundraiser will take place on Sunday, January 13, in Lurgan Park.

This will be a short event from 5pm until 6.15pm, during which a DJ will play music and there will be a firework display.

It is expected that upwards of 3000 people will attend the event.

In order to accommodate the event, the ABC Council has granted permission for the event to be held in Lurgan Park and put back the parking closing time until 7pm.
