Detectives in Lurgan have charged a 21 year old man with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 18.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
It is believed the charges are in relation to a serious assault on a 23 year old man in the West Street area of Portadown in the early hours of Saturday, November 30.
