Man (30) taken to hospital after being cut free from van

Firefighters had to use specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to free a man from his van after a one vehicle road traffic collision this morning (Thursday).

It happened on the Rathfriland Road, near Annaclone, and NI Fire and Rescue Service received a report of the collision at around 7.20am.

A 30-year-old man had to be rescued from his vehicle by firefighters from Banbridge Station, who attended the scene.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance, where his condition is not known at this time.
