A 23-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man have both been charged with possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The woman has also been charged with driving offences.
Both are due to appear at Newry Magistrates court in the morning (Friday).
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow the seizure of over £8000 suspected heroin in Poyntzpass (Wednesday).
