A man has been arrested following the sudden death of a woman in county Armagh.
The woman, believed to be in her thirties, died on February 21 in the Orior Park area of Bessbrook.
Police have this evening confirmed that a 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.
Detective Sergeant Paul Murphy said: “As a direct result of our enquiries, we have arrested a man on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
“He is currently helping police with their enquiries.
“A total of £2,000 cash was seized and a number of items were also taken away for examination during a related search.”
Meanwhile, Sinn Fein’s Conor Murphy, said: “It is tragic to learn that a young woman has lost her life. Her family are in deep shock and they are in our thoughts at this moment as they come to terms with this sudden death.
“Police are investigating the circumstances and anyone who feels they can help with the investigation should contact the PSNI immediately.”
