A MAN has been charged with terrorism offences in relation to a dissident republican investigation in County Armagh.
The 39-year-old, from the Tandragee area, has been charged with possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances and possession of articles likely to be of use to terrorists.
He was arrested in Lurgan on Wednesday evening in connection with ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity.
He was detained in the Victoria Street area and a number of items were seized.
The man is due to appear in Craigavon Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
A 36-year-old woman was arrested in Tyrone as part of a separate dissident investigation.
A senior PSNI detective commented: “The arrest and charge of these individuals is a significant success and the public should be reassured that we take all opportunities to bring all those involved in terrorism to justice.”
