Man due in court after stolen £75,000 telelift recovered in Banbridge

A man is due to appear in court tomorrow (Friday) following the theft of a Manitou telelift  from premises in the Boucher Place area of Belfast on the evening of Wednesday,  July 9.

Police in Banbridge stopped a lorry in the Tullymore Road area of  Banbridge carrying the stolen item.

A 43-year-old man was arrested and  has been subsequently charged with burglary and using a vehicle without  insurance.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday, July 11.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the  PPS.

It is believed that the estimated value of the  Manitou telelift is in the region of £75,000 plus.
