A new principal has been named at Markethill High School.
Colin Berry will replace the departed James Maxwell and will be in situ for the new school year in September.
Mr Berry, who comes from the Armagh area, will conclude his time at Aughnacloy College where he oversaw tremendous progress for the small rural Co Tyrone school.
Commenting on the appointment Alderman Gareth Wilson stated: “I want to wish Colin every success as he takes the helm at this cherished local education provider.
“I have no doubt given Colin’s previous extensive experience that he will be a great asset to the school and will continue to provide an excellent level of leadership and care for the pupils of Markethill and the surrounding area.”
