Markethill Health Centre looks set to benefit from a new extension – thanks to a significant funding injection!
The Southern Health Trust has submitted proposals for the Newry Street-based facility.
The plans are now under consideration by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
The new development – if approved – would add close to 1,000 sq ft to the total floorspace.
The works would see the provision of a new physiotherapy consulting room, as well as a GP training room and admin office.
New window and door changes are included as well as slight amendments to the internal layout.
A ramp would be provided to access the new extension.
When plans are looked at in depth, a recommendation will be brought back in due course.
