A Markethill mother-of-four has donated a beautiful picture to the maternity unit at Craigavon Area Hospital to say ‘thank-you’ for their care and compassion.
Charlotte Anne Farrell experienced a number of problems with her last pregnancy and birth.
And she says she could not have been in better hands and wanted to give something back.
“Every single member of staff were amazing to us,” said Charlotte.
“I’m grateful to the surgical team at Craigavon and the midwifery ward staff for their care and support.
“I started this painting during my pregnancy as a therapy really in a difficult time to show how precious life is.”
Having returned to the maternity unit to make the presentation, she brought her new-born daughter.
Little Ellie-May, who was born on June 12, is now thriving with the help of her big brother and sisters who helped present the painting.
