A new £1m housing development in Markethill has been given the thumbs up by planners.
The 13-home development was granted planning permission by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council last week.
The applicant – Eugene McCone – intends to build the residential properties on the Mullaghbrack Road, close to St John’s Parish Church.
Plans were submitted back in July 2016 but it was an early Christmas gift as Council gave the green light.
Elsewhere in Markethill, a proposed phase three housing development, consisting of 35 homes and garages, was also given the go-ahead.
The Arona Developments project, on the Coolmillish Road, will comprise of 26 two storey semi detached and nine two storey detached dwellings.
