A big breakfast to raise funds for the Northern Air Ambulance is to be held in memory of Lesley-ann McCarragher.
The 19-year-old died in April after being struck by a car along the Monaghan Road, near Milford.
Now the Co Armagh village – with the support of Lesley-ann’s family – is to hold this charity function to boost the Air Ambulance appeal.
It is being organised by the Milford Community Development Association this coming Saturday, June 18, from 9am until noon.
All proceeds, as requested by Lesley-ann’s family, will be directed to the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland Trust. Its aim is to have a rapid air response ambulance established in Northern Ireland, which will support the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
The campaign for an air ambulance here intensified following the death of Tandragee medic and ‘flying doctor’ Dr John Hinds, at the Skerries 100 road races.
Stormont has since committed to establishing the service but recurring funding will be required.
This big breakfast will add to the funds already raised.
And it will be a wonderful and fitting tribute in memory of Lesley-ann.
The 19-year-old – a former Head Girl at the City of Armagh High School – passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast in April.
Donations in lieu of flowers were accepted for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
And once again Lesley-ann’s family will show their support for the appeal, helping others in memory of the popular teenager who was much-loved and sadly missed by all who knew her.
Please show your support for this very worthy fundraiser.
