Police are keen to track down a man who intervened as a teenager was being viciously assaulted by a group of teenagers.
PSNI have issued an appeal to find the man who intervened and helped a 16-year-old boy as he targeted by the group.
The incident happened on Thursday, September 16 at approximately 9pm in the Newry area.
A police spokesperson said: “This boy was being assaulted by a group of youths in and around the ‘stop & shop’ in the Barcroft area of Newry.
“Police would like to speak to this male to see if he can assist with an ongoing police investigation.
“The young victim would also like to thank this male for his help.
“Contact police on 101 quoting reference number 695 of the 14/9/17.”
