Thieves have tried to steal cash from an ATM at a shop in Newry.
The incident happened during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Three men forced entry to the commercial premises on the Dublin Road, shortly after midnight.
But police activity in the area would appear to have frightened them off and they fled empty-handed less than three hours later.

In comes just days after a skimming device was found on an ATM in Banbridge.
The discovery was made just before lunchtime on Tuesday at the Tesco on the Castlewellan Road.
The user appeared to experience some technical difficulty.
But police say, upon closer investigation later, it became clear that minutes after he left two males approached the cash machine and appeared to remove a device from it, along with cash.
