Catfish Alexander McCartney: 911 call made after 12-year-old victim takes her own life

Cimarron Thomas (12) who took her own life as a result of Alexander McCartney's blackmail

This is the 12-year-old girl who tragically took her own life rather than comply with the demands of Co Armagh man, Alexander McCartney – the UK’s most prolific catfish!

Cimarron Thomas, from West Virginia in the United States, died after she turned her father’s handgun on herself on May 11, 2018.

Her father, Ben Thomas, died by suicide 18 months after his daughter.

From his bedroom on a property on the Lissummon Road, McCartney posed as a girl called Sarah to make online contact with Cimarron.

After persuading the youngster to send him a topless photo he then revealed his actual identity and demanded Cimarron send him sexually depraved photos.

She was told if she did not comply her photos would be sent to her father, Ben.

Despite Cimarron’s pleas for McCartney to stop, he continued his depraved blackmail, even telling the schoolgirl to “dry her eyes” and to get her younger, 9-year-old sister involved.

Cimmarron would not, stating she would rather kill herself.

Tragically, she acted upon that. Her sister recalled hearing a popping sound that she thought was a balloon bursting.

This was the 911 call made to West Virginia police.
