A child was taken to hospital following a collision in Newry on Friday afternoon.
Police received and responded to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in the Chancellors Road area of Cloughoge shortly before 3.45pm yesterday, Friday, September 5.
The collision happened in the Drumbrae area close to St Moninna’s Primary School.
A child was taken to hospital by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time. The Air Ambulance was also tasked to the scene at the time.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision, and police in Newry are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch via 101, and quote reference number 997 of 04/09/26.
