Detectives in Newry are reminding people to takes steps to secure their properties and check the identities of cold callers.
The warning comes after a burglary in the Barkers Road area on Friday, September 9, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
It was reported that two male forced entry to a property on Barkers Road.
Damage was caused and a number of items stolen.
Detective Constable Darragh is appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the Newtownhamilton area on Friday evening to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1213 of 09/09/16.
Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
