A man has tragically died after falling into the water in Carlingford overnight.
The man – who was aged in his 40s – was recovered from the water at Carlingford Harbour in the early hours of Monday morning.
Gardaí received reports around 2am
The man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí say they are treating the incident as a tragic accident but investigations are ongoing.
