Motorists are advised that the Old Dublin Road in Cloghoge, near Newry is closed in both directions.
It comes as emergency services attend the scene of a road traffic collision, which police are describing as “serious”.
“Diversions are in place,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
“Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route.”
