Love Island star makes a date with Southern Area Hospice as it launches annual car raffle

Love Island 2021 star Matt McNabb has urged people to support the Southern Area Hospice annual car draw by buying a ticket.

The 26-year-old marketing consultant from Downpatrick, who appeared in the ITV2 dating show over the summer, took time out to travel to Newry where he made a fun video, replicating a scene from the programme.

The annual competition is a key fundraiser for the hospice and traditionally takes place in the Buttercrane Shopping Centre, Newry.

This year, the competition to win a Clio is primarily online and entries can be bought for £5 on the website www.southernareahospiceservices.org/competition-2021 or by phoning the office on 028 3026 7711 (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm).

The closing date for entries is Wednesday, November 3 at 9pm and the draw will take place on Saturday, November 6 at 12 noon at Shelbourne Motors.

This competition, which is supported and sponsored by Shelbourne Motors and AbbeyAutoline, will give people the chance to win a Renault CLIO Play SCe 65 with one year’s free insurance.

James McCaffrey, fundraising officer, said “ We were all delighted to have Matt up to help us promote our car competition as I would imagine he has been overwhelmed with requests since leaving the show.

“He was a real gentleman and only too happy to help. Anything at all that helps us to push and promote our fundraising events here are greatly appreciated.

“The money raised from this competition goes directly to help Southern Area Hospice services to continue to provide care for people locally.”

The video can be viewed on the Southern Area Hospice Facebook page here.
