Man (33) charged to court following Banbridge burglary

He has been charged with a range of offences including aggravated vehicle taking, drink driving and assaults on police

Police have charged a man to court following a burglary in the Dublin Road area of Banbridge on Tuesday, 16th June.

The 33-year-old, who was arrested in the Oak Grange area of Warrenpoint, is charged with aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to the vehicle, dangerous driving, two counts of assault on police, resisting police, burglary with intent to steal, driving with excess alcohol in breath and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 17th June.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
