A man has been charged following the discovery of £10 million worth of cocaine in south Armagh last week
Detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch have charged a 38-year-old man following the significant seizure of suspected Class A drugs in the Jonesborough area.
He has been charged with a number of offences, including possession of Class A controlled drugs, driving while disqualified and paying for sexual services.
The man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20.
The man was arrested on Monday, 18th December, in the Newry area. The arrest and charge is in relation to a search of a lorry on Monday, December 11, which resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected cocaine concealed within boxes containing frozen meat products, worth an estimated street value of £10 million.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
