A man has been charged with murder following a fatal house fire in Newry back in May.
Detectives investigating the tragic blaze, which occurred in the Parkview area of the city on Friday, May 21, have charged a 42-year-old man with murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 9.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Jimmy Thompson, who was 62, died as a result of smoke inhalation.
