A Co Armagh man was arrested after detectives raided three properties as part of a clamp down on the illegal distribution of premium TV services.
Detectives arrested the 39-year-old in connection with the distribution of so-called “dodgy-boxes” in south Armagh.
It came after three properties were raided in the Newry area on Wednesday.
During the operation, police also seized a substantial amount of cash as well as electronic devices believed to be for use in the illegal distribution of premium TV services.
Detective Sergeant James Johnston has said: “The use of such pirate television services may seem by many to be a victimless crime however this activity puts jobs within that sector at risk, with an inferior product that can often fund other forms of criminality.
“In preparing our investigation we have worked closely with our associates in the anti-piracy divisions of industry partners. Our work continues and we would appeal for anyone with information regarding such activity to contact Police on 101.”
