Police in Newry investigating a pipe bomb incident have asked for help in identifying an individual who may have information.
A viable explosive device was discovered outside a Sinn Féin office in Newry city centre on the evening of October 5.
Emergency services were deployed to deal with the situation on Monaghan Street shortly before midnight.
ATO attended and examined the object which was declared a viable explosive device. The device was made safe and removed for further examination.
Said a spokesperson for police: “Can you help us identify the individual in the accompanying footage?
“We are investigating a report of a pipe bomb in the Monaghan Street area of Newry on Sunday, 5th October, and believe the individual pictured may be able to assist us with our enquiries.
“We are asking them or anyone who has information to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1648 05/10/25.”
