A man has been charged after two members of staff at Daisy Hill Hospital sustained injuries at the weekend.
A nurse suffered a cut to her neck and chin area while a health care assistant sustained a puncture wound to his side.
Detectives investigating the incident at the hospital in Newry on Saturday have now charged a man.
The 57-year-old faces two counts of grievous bodily harm and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The man is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 16.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
