Detectives have charged a 32-year-old man with attempted murder.
He is expected to appear before Armagh Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18.
It is believed these charges relate to an incident in the Monaghan Street area of Newry on St Patrick’s Day 2012, when a 31-year-old man was attacked by two males.
As is normal procedure these charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
