A man has been seriously assaulted in Newry city centre.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident which occurred during the early hours of Saturday, October 1.
Detective Sergeant McCarragher said: “At approximately 1.15am, CCTV footage recorded a man being attacked in the John Mitchel Place area of the city.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, have any information in relation to it or who may have any relevant footage that could help detectives with our investigation, to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 1566 03/10/22.”
