The brand new £22 million Newry Leisure Centre will officially open its doors today.
Stage two of state-of-the-art complex follows the completion of the new swimming pool which was opened in 2015.
Newry, Mourne and Down Council Chairperson Roisin Mulgrew will open the centre today before the public don its doors from Monday.
The new facilities include a trampolining pit, new gym, sports hall and indoor soft play area.
The multi-million pound project, brought forward by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, was designed by Kennedy and Fitzgerald Architects and developed by local contractors Felix O’Hare.
Council chairperson Roisin Mulgrew said: “I am thrilled to see the second phase of Newry Leisure Centre now complete and open to the public.
“This is an important strategic project for council as it contributes towards both the economic and social development of our district.”
