A Newry care home has been recognised among the top such facilities in Northern Ireland for the second year in a row.
Ashgrove – one of 13 care homes recently acquired by Ann’s Care Homes from Four Seasons Health Care – was named in the Top 20 at the Care Home Awards 2021.
The awards are based on reviews from residents/service users and their family/friends and are based on the Individual and Group Review Score, as of June 30, 2021.
Care Home Manager Wendy said: “I am absolutely delighted and can’t thank my team enough. All their hard work is paying off and it shows how happy residents’ families are with the care in our care home.
“Ann’s Estates Manager James and his team have been working hard behind the scenes and have recently completed a full refurbishment of the Carlingford Suite, an 18-bed suite which has been specifically designed and adapted to facilitate care for residents living with high end dementia.
“The unit is opening with nine residents joining the Ashgrove Family.”
In keeping with this positive news, Ann’s Care Homes are also delighted to announce that they are increasing the rate of pay for Health Care Assistants working in their care homes to £9.50 effective immediately. They are also offering current staff a refer a friend bonus scheme of £200 if they refer a Health Care Worker.
