Police are investigating a burglary at the home of a man in his 70s at Chestnut Grove, Newry.
At approximately 8:20pm on Monday 4th October 2021, the resident hears a noise upstairs in his home.
He then makes his way upstairs where he finds a male intruder in one of the rooms.
The resident then challenges the intruder and tries to push him out of his home. The male intruder then pushed the victim into the bathroom and demanded money before making off with his wallet.
There is no significant description of the suspect, however, a person seen to be wearing a head torch was captured on nearby CCTV arriving in a dark coloured hatchback car at the time of the burglary and police are keen to talk to this person.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward to CrimeStoppers.
