The family of a Co Armagh schoolboy who underwent major brain surgery on Friday morning have extended their gratitude to everyone across Co Armagh and beyond.
Padráig Rafferty, a Primary 5 pupil at St. Joseph and St. James’s School in Poyntzpass, is now recovering following the operation at Belfast’s Royal Hospital.
His local GAA club, to which Padraig’s family have a close affinity towards, posted an update on his condition earlier this evening.
They wrote: “[Padráig] is through his surgery & is now in recovery at the Royal in Belfast. Padráig has a long road of recovery ahead of him, so please keep him in your prayers.
“John & Lorraine have asked us to pass on their profound gratitude to everyone throughout Armagh and beyond, for the love that has been shown to their family, and for the continued prayers for wee Padráig.
“With God’s will, it will hopefully not be too long before he is and about again, kicking points and looking after his dad’s Tullynacross Farm.”
Our continued thoughts are with Padráig and his family as he begins his way back to a full recovery.
