A 72-year-old man will appear in court on Wednesday charged with a number of serious offences.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Unit have charged the male with attempted possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply Class B controlled drugs and the possession of criminal property.
It follows the seizure of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of £900,000.
Searches were carried out in Banbridge, Belfast, and Lisburn on Monday in what was a joint operation with police, Border Force, and Immigration and Enforcement.
He is due to appear in Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
As is normal all procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
