Three men have been charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug – namely heroin – and are due to appear in court.
A 32-year-old man will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.
Two other men, aged 34 and 46, will appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 14.
A 50-year-old woman is also due to appear in court on February 14 charged with permitting premises to be used in the supply of a Class A drug.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
All charges follow the search of a property in Newry on Wednesday, and the subsequent arrest of five people in the city on Thursday.
A 56-year-old man has been released unconditionally.
