Police are appealing for help in catching those responsible for what has been described as a “vicious assault” on a teenage girl.
The incident happened in broad daylight on Sunday.
And what has made it all the more sickening is that the attack – which happened at Buttercrane Quay – was filmed.
Police want anyone who can help catch those responsible to come forward.
The 13-year-old girl was set upon at around 4pm on Sunday.
She was assaulted by a group of young people while one of them stood back and openly recorded it.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident – or anyone who believes their own child might have been involved – to come forward.
