Police probe after shot fired at house in Newry

Police are appealing for information following a report of a shot being fired at a house in Newry.

Inspector Connolly said: “We received a report at around 10.50pm on Wednesday, December 3 of a person with a firearm outside a property in the Mullavat Road area.

“Officers attended the address and found that an upstairs bedroom window had been smashed, with the damaged believed to have been caused by a gunshot. However, no one was injured.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information, including dash-cam, CCTV or other footage, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1583 of 03/12/25.
