Police have named the two people who died in a three vehicle crash on the A1 on Friday.
They were 87-year-old Raymond Halliday and 47-year-old Anna Dodds.
Both were from the Newry area.
They had been in a silver-coloured Skoda Fabia car which was involved in a collision with a lorry and a bronze coloured Ford Focus.
It happened at around 2.45pm on the northbound lane of Moneymore Road junction on the A1 near Newry.
A PSNI spokesperson said officers from the Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and appealed to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
Anyone who has not yet spoken to police or who has dash-cam footage that covers that stretch of the A1 or Moneymore Road at that time, should get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101.
Newry & Armagh DUP Assemblyman William Irwin meanwhile has offered his condolences.
He said: “This is a very sad and terrible ordeal where two local people have lost their lives on our roads.
“I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers to the families who have been plunged into grief following this fatal collision.
“Our roads continue to claim lives with frightening regularity and this awful incident follows only hours after a young motorcyclist was killed at the Dobbin Road close to Portadown.”
