Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the chest on Sunday morning.
Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following the report of an assault at a house in the Carrickateel Court area of the city.
The man was taken to hospital following the incident just before midday.
Detective Constable McKeever said: “At approximately 11.25am it was reported to police that a man in his 30s had been stabbed in the chest at a property and was then taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
“Three men in their 40s have since been arrested in relation to the incident but have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Elsewhere, a man was stabbed in the stomach in a late night attack in Armagh.
