A two-vehicle road collision on the A1 has closed a southbound lane in Newry this morning (Tuesday).
Police have issued updated advice to say one lane remains open to traffic.
There are no further details on this particular collision, however, it comes just hours after the main Belfast to Dublin Road was shut.
Shortly before 2am, it was reported that the A1 was closed to southbound traffic at the Old Dublin Road with diversions are in place.
Southbound motorists have been advised follow the Old Dublin Road toward the Carrickdale. This closure will remain into later this morning at the earliest.
