Two men have been charged to court following an investigation into a burglary and attempted burglary in Newry this week.
It happened in the Altnamachin Road area of the city on Wednesday morning (February 28).
A 30-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The second man, aged 32, has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent to steal, going equipped for burglary, possessing an article with blade or point in a public place, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
Both men are due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday).
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
