People are again being reminded not to leave valuables in cars after handbags were stolen in two separate incidents on Sunday.
The PSNI in Armagh are appealing for information after one incident happened at Gosford Forest Park at around lunchtime.
The blue Volkswagen Golf car had been parked near the rear entrance of the forest park when thieves struck.
The owner returned to find the bag had been taken.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the PSNI in Armagh using the non-emergency number 101.
The second incident is being investigated by the PSNI in Newry.
Sometime between 2pm and 3.30pm on Sunday, the rear passenger window of a grey coloured Renault Scenic, parked in Sheepbridge car park, was smashed and again the handbag was stolen.
Constable John Bogle said: “The car park was full at the time this occurred and I would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident. We can be contacted in Ardmore on 101, quoting ref: 660 100116.
“I would also remind motorists to ensure they do not leave valuables in their vehicles when they leave them unattended. Also try to park in a well lit areas to reduce the chance of becoming a victim of this type of crime.”
