A woman has been rushed to hospital following a serious collision in Newry on Wednesday morning.
The 51-year-old suffered what police are describing as “potentially serious” injuries.
The two-vehicle crash happened on the Armagh Road, just after the Fiveways, at Mountainview Drive as you approach the city centre.
The road has been closed between Plunkett Street and Drumliss Court.
The incident is understood to have happened at 4.45am.
A PSNI spokesman said the extent of her injuries “is not yet known but they are believed to be potentially serious”.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 51 year old man has been arrested.
