Newry shootings: Police keen to trace ‘muscular Eastern European’ man

Detectives in Newry investigating two shooting incidents which took place in Sandys Street and Armagh Road on Thursday, 17 September, are keen to identify a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector David Henderson said: “We believe this man was in the area of Armagh Road when the shooting there occurred.

“He is described as being approximately 6ft 3in/4in tall, aged in his twenties, of muscular build with a sallow complexion and tightly cut blonde hair (possibly dyed). This man is believed to be Eastern European.

“We are keen to identify and locate this man and would ask anyone with information to contact us at the earliest opportunity in Newry on 101.”
