A county Armagh farmer is appealing for help after a young calf was washed away in floods on Wednesday night.

Torrential rain and thunderstorms caused major flooding across Northern Ireland and in parts of county Armagh.

The aftermath was still being felt well into yesterday evening.

And one county Armagh farmer is counting the cost after losing his calf in a river near Newtownhamilton.

The farmer doesn’t know if the animal is dead or alive but is keen to trace it.

It went missing after the river banks of the White Water river collapsed and washed it away.

Its a large, red coloured, Charolais bullock. It may be somewhere around the Dundalk Road and Cullyhanna Road of Newtownhamilton.

If you have any information or have spotted the animal please contact John Corkey on 02830 878152

Please help and share this appeal.
