A woman was rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle road traffic accident near Newtownhamilton earlier this evening (Monday).
The incident happened on the Clady Road, close to the junction with the Tullywill Road, around 6.40pm.
Armagh I understands the car left the road and collided with a tree before rolling onto its roof.
Fire crews from Newtownhamilton and Newry used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the lady who was travelling on her own at the time.
They spent around two hours clearing the scene.
The woman, in her 40s, was taken to hospital, however, her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road has been cleared for motorists.
Newtownhamilton based Sinn Fein Councillor Barra Ó Muirí has said that the focus of the local community at present was on the condition of the injured person and the sincere hope that they would make a full recovery.
