It brings the total to 6,064
There have been no further deaths reported, keeping that total at 556.
Meanwhile, the Executive have agreed to make face coverings mandatory for those in enclosed spaces and shops from Monday.
So called ‘wet pubs’- those who do not serve food- will not be allowed to open from Monday as was originally planned, with a new indicated date of September 1 identified.
These changes came following news that there are fears the R-rate is above the critical ‘1’ mark with 43 new Covid-19 cases reported yesterday, the highest daily increase since May 13.
Health Minister Robin Swann warned that rise in cases was a “wake-up call for the complacent”.
