There have been eight further Covid-related deaths in Northern Ireland over the past 24 hours.
And there have been a further 1,030 cases recorded during the same time period, according to the Department of Health’s latest daily dashboard update.
That’s down 35 on the day before.
There were 112 – 24 less – in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, which remains the second highest in NI. There were 84 positive cases in Newry, Mourne and Down – which is an increase of 16 – while Mid-Ulster District recorded 111 – down five. Belfast had the highest with 159.
A total of 5,494 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 373 – down 10 – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 31 – no change – of whom are in intensive care unit.
There are currently 93 Covid patients in the Southern trust area with 61 – down 3 – patients in Craigavon Area Hospital, and 17 ICU beds available across Northern Ireland.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,533.
The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 345 deaths overall – up two – with Newry, Mourne and Down District up one to 193 and Mid-Ulster showing no change with 239 registered deaths.
