Five more people have died from Covid-19, the Department of Health has confirmed.
The total, according to the Department, now stands at 427.
Earlier today, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (Nisra) published figures showing that 516 deaths have been recorded in total.
Nisra figures record all deaths where Covid-19 is mentioned on a death certificate, 45% of which – as of May 1 – have occurred in care homes.
Meanwhile, Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey says the executive hopes to produce a plan for easing lockdown restrictions next week.
“We are hopeful that we will have something published next week, but it’s important that we get that plan right. Because we know that with each change that’s made, it takes about three weeks for it to show the R impact,” she said.
