There have been four further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
One of those occurred in the Newry, Mourne and Down District.
According to the official dashboard, there were a further 1,434 – down 207 – positive cases reported in the last 24 hours with 144 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the third highest in NI. There were 96 in Newry, Mourne and Down while Mid-Ulster District recorded 136. Belfast had 298 cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 4,944 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 226 – no change – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 37 – two less – of whom are in an intensive care unit.
There are 62 – up three – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 49 of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 12 patients in Daisy Hill.
There are currently 13 ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
Hospital occupancy currently stands at 100% of capacity.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,213.
The number of positive cases in the last seven days stands at 8,299 – down from 9,000 on the previous week.
The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 296 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 172 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 208 deaths.
